It`s been a while.....

Wow, so I cant believe how much has happened since last time I blogged. Justin and I have gone from living in a basement apartment, to a family members basement, to a house in Pleasantview, and all in a matter of three months.Isnt married life great! :) First of all, we moved out of the basement apartment because it flooded, five times. We then moved into a family members basement until we found somewhere else, and we did. We are currently renting a house in Pleasantview. I love living here, it is sooooo much better than Ogden (Justin is not as enthusiastic because he has a HUGE lawn to mow haha). Our plans this summer are work for Justin and work/school for me. Justin got a job at the Brill Company where he manufactures frostings, glazes, cookies, etc. He comes home smelling and sometimes looking like a pastry. :) He does not plan on making this his career, but until he figures that out he doesnt mind this. I was accepted into the nursing program at Weber State University, so I am now taking classes this summer to prepare me for the program. In the end of June we will be moving again, but i am not sure where. I told Justin this makes our lives exciting because we never know where we will be living, I dont think he agrees :)

Hawaii

So I know it has been a long time since i posted a blog and since Justin and I went to Hawaii, but you have to catch up some time. It was my first time going to Hawaii so of course I was extremely excited. When we got there i was amazed with the humidity difference, i soon came to love how soft my skin was. We stayed in the Marriot in Honolulu. I had not been to the beach since I was eight so the first thing next morning I just wanted to go swim at Waikiki Beach. However, we had an early flight to Kauai. Whatever i had pictured the plane looking like was wrong, terribly wrong.(HaHa) It was a little propeller plane. I was very apprehensive to get on. I just kept telling myself that we would be on ground soon and it would be so much fun. After the flight, we rented a hotel and drove to our condo. Kauai was so beautiful. I loved how green everything was. I also loved the chickens, except in the morning! I finally got my chance to go to the beach and it was amazing. I probably scared myself six or seven times thinking about sharks, but it was still fun. We boogy boarded and scuba dived a ton. One time, while on the beach, Justin and I found a coconut. We cracked it open and ate it. It was not very good but i figured I should share that part of the trip because Justin was very proud of it haha! The week in Kauai went by so fast. Soon we were back on that little propeller plane heading back to Ohau. We spent the next three days there. We went shopping a ton and my favorite place was the flea market at Aloha Stadium. It was so huge. One of my favorite sights that we saw there was Pearl Harbor. We went there on our last day. We left at ten p.m. and as much as i loved it there, i missed Utah! The non stop flight was waaay too long, but being home was a relief. Now that it is freezing here I am wishing I could go back, maybe someday.

The Hunt

Ever since i met Justin he has talked up hunting. I shrugged it off not realizing that he is really serious about it, however, now that it has started i know. If i knew how long he would be away from me up in the mountains looking for an elk, I would have payed someone to let an elk go his way so he could shoot it and come home. (haha) I told him that if he gets a really big one then I get to go on a shopping spree. He just smiled. Even though he is gone alot during the hunt I love seeing how excited he gets. He called me early this morning to tell me that he and his friend Clinton shot an elk. I tried to sound excited, but i was really tired haha. I guess in the end this whole hunt will be worth it because we will have a ton of meat in our freezer, even if it is elk meat.

My Birthday

So my birthday was last saturday and i turned nineteen. (Justins brother keeps reminding me that i am still a teenager :) ) Justin decided to take me four wheeling up in the mountains. Our friends Steph and Brady Hess were going to come with us, but Steph got sick. The ride up there was so much fun. There were a few times i thought we wouldnt survive, you will better understand what i mean if you have ever ridden in any vehicle with Justin. (Ha Ha) It took us about three hours to reach the peak of the mountain. The view was stunning at the top. We had packed a lunch so we ate that and then Justin asked me if i wanted to hike I said yeas not knowing what i was getting in to. The trail started out normal but then got really steep and at that point i decided to look over the edge which was a bad idea because i am afraid of heights. I told Justin i wanted to go back but he said we would only go a little further.(I would soon find out that he would say that multiple times and that a little further meant ten miles :) ) At one point i was really scared and I didnt want to move. Justin turned around and gave me a big hug. He then pretended to through me off! I almost started crying and he laughed. I know that sounds mean of him, but even i laugh now when i think about it. We finally made it to where he wanted to go and it was worth it because of the view.(I think, haha) We took some pictures and headed back to the four wheeler. On the way down he let me drive a little. I think i did really good, but Justin thinks i almost killed us. I will never forget my first birthday with Justin. I had so much fun. He is so sweet, i love him.

Our First Post

Hey! Well this is our first post on our new blog. Justin and i got married two weeks ago today. We are exciting to start blogging (well at least i am). Married life is really fun so far haha ;). I cant wait to start recording our life together.
